K ody is from the same litter as Chinnie and is owned by Nicky and Dennis Kingswell and their two children. Having previously owned two georgous rottweilers they were looking for a bitch with a view to showing.
However, within a year of Kody going to live with them, the family migrated to New Zealand. They took Kody and her brother Pudsey with them for a new life on a small farm. The two dogs loved their new surroundings and the idea of showing was put to one side whilst the family adapted to their new lifestyle.
A member of the South Island Rottweiler Club learned of the dog’s existence and helped Nicky to begin showing Kody and Pudsey.
Nicky learned ‘Show Etiquette’ at Championship shows and it wasn’t long before Kody won her first Challenge Certificate. Within two months she had earned her Championship title, and her proudest moment was being in the Best of Show line up at Ellesmere Championship Show.
Kody is now in whelp to one of New Zealand’s top dog’s CH Crusade Last Action Hero. Nicky says, “We are so proud of Kody and love seeing the interest and praise that she receives from everyone in NZ.”
